We tried a collaboration model of customized denim jeans by Peloton star Emma Lovewell | People's Daily Online

Peloton coach Emma Lovewell collaborated with denim brand Sene to tailor jeans for each customer. This is our idea

We usually see Peloton coach Emma Lovewell wearing exercise gear because she teaches high-intensity cycling lessons on the bike or crushes your core on the mat. But when she doesn't wear a sports bra and tights, Lovewill tends to look cold, and jeans are always her first choice.

"I am a very casual person. When I leave the house, my choice is to have only jeans and T-shirts in the closet," Lovewell told People. "So, I have so many pairs of jeans in my life because I wear too many."

Like herself, Lovewell has noticed that her friends and family often struggle to find the perfect pair of jeans. Therefore, when she discovered Sene, a direct-to-consumer brand, which customized each garment for her customers based on online quizzes, she was very happy to work with jeans.

"My girlfriend and family told me their doubts about jeans. I was surprised that Sene was able to not only make custom jeans, but also to bring them back to make any changes within 60 days [no additional cost]. This is amazing," Lovewell said.

"I have a friend who said,'I don't wear jeans because they don't fit well. So I only wear tights or sweatpants.' It's really cool to expose more people to denim," she added.

Lovewell's past experience as a fit model gave her a deeper understanding of the design process. "I remember going to a lot of castings. People who measured my body said,'Her arms are too muscular.' Or, "The ratio of her hips to thighs is wrong. "Fortunately, I have a thick-skinned face. But it is interesting because I did learn a lot about language and fit from the brands I worked with," she said.

It's no surprise that the PEOPLE team can't wait to test drive the Sene customization process and try out Lovewell's design. Please continue reading to understand our views on cooperation.

Since the quarantine began in March 2020, my body shape has been fluctuating, and frankly, I am currently unable to determine what my actual denim size is. Because of this dilemma, I tend to avoid buying new jeans at all costs, but the concept of getting my jeans right is very attractive.

I decided to choose Sene x Emma Air Slim Straight Jeans because Gen Z kept telling me to hang up my tights. After placing the order, they arrived at my door in less than a month. Considering that they are made to order, the speed is quite fast! The torn position and looseness look cool, but I think the waist can be folded and the thighs need to be less loose (remember, I come from skinny jeans style!).

When I accepted Sene's free renovation within 60 days of delivery, the process couldn't be easier. I took a few photos in my jeans and emailed them to Sene. A fit expert took a look and sent a modification proposal in less than 24 hours. I choose to send the jeans back (the brand will reimburse you if you are willing to take them to the local tailor), and the resized jeans will be sent back in five days.

I was amazed. They fit like gloves! The jeans give me a perfect sense of coolness and relaxation, and they are not too tight anywhere else. As someone who usually takes off his jeans and puts on a comfortable jogger when he gets home, I am also surprised to see that I can wear these shoes to work at home all day without discomfort.

Now that Sene has recorded my exact size, there is no doubt that I will order another style at a price of US$149 per pair.

I was so used to putting on a pair of sweatshirts to start the day, so much so that the thought of buying new jeans completely frightened me. My waist is always fluctuating, and my curves and muscles are full, so jeans without stretch are basically not worth trying on. I'm really happy to be able to make my own custom jeans, because online shopping during the pandemic resulted in a lot of returns, and there are unworn jeans with a label on the jeans.

I started my process by choosing Emma Blue's loose straight AirJeans and made sure to add specific instructions, mentioning that I want my jeans to be stretchy and not too long because I am 5 feet 4 inches tall. Once they reached my door, I took them to my room, sliding in one leg at a time. Before I buttoned the buttons, I took a deep breath and, shockingly, they really fit. I asked for a straight leg and a wider side. They were cut exactly to my requirements, which is great because skinny jeans can make my legs feel like they are suffocating. The real test is whether I can stay in it all day and don't want to tear them off when I get home. I am happy to report that they feel comfortable when I go to town for coffee and walk through the park.

If you are having trouble finding jeans that are suitable for curves and athletic bodies, I would definitely recommend you to try them. The fact that they also made changes is surprising, but fortunately, my result was exactly what I wanted. The holiday is coming soon, so if you don’t have a gift idea, this experience will definitely make someone’s holiday more exciting and special.

From online dimensional testing to delivery-the entire Sene process is a breeze. I was skeptical at first because my height is 5'2" and jeans are usually too long for me. But the hem of these jeans fits my height perfectly. They slide easily and are not stiff at all.

Sometimes, when I order jeans, they are either too big at my waist or I can't get them through my thighs. But these all outline my body very well. They are great for hanging out and running errands, but they can also be dressed up to go out at night. These are the perfect day and night jeans! With the discussion of skinny jeans in Gen Z, my Sene x Emma Straight Legs made me understand why.

Although the Internet may tell you something, "quick return" and "returning" of jeans after delivery is not the real thing. In any case, this is daunting and uncomfortable. For the first few months before my daughter was born, I wore the maternity leggings I wore before her birth—and I was very happy.

One thing that helped me feel about myself after giving birth was the Peloton community. I slowly returned to the bike and did something for myself. It helped me resume my routine and restore some physical confidence. So when my colleague Kaitlyn told me about Emma's new inclusive denim series (I am a big fan of her new music rides), I couldn't wait to give it a try.

The fit test is quick and easy, and my denim will arrive soon. It feels good as soon as I open the package. The jeans feel very comfortable, but they also look like the retro denim style that I like. Even better? I can just pull them up and zip them up-no need to lie in bed and do acrobatics.

I wear them to participate in an event and feel comfortable all day long. Although my 6-month-old and I have been spending time on the play mats, they have not stretched out. This is a huge victory-the sagging diaper butt is only cute for baby Gracie.
